HISTORIC KITCHENS IN CANADIAN MUSEUMSMontgomery's
Inn Montgomery's Inn was built in 1830; a tavern, ball room, extra sleeping quarters, and ground-floor kitchen were added a few years later. Restored to the period 1847-50, this City of Toronto museum offers open-hearth cooking classes in the historic kitchen for adults, children, and families; runs March Break and Summer Day Camps for children, featuring hands-on cooking; animates the kitchen and tavern for special events; and maintains a historic kitchen garden.
